Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 336


Covered period: 2014.Nov.10 - 2014.Nov.16
LAT Mission week: 336.57 - 337.57

  • S4 0954+65 was detected in a high state on November 15, reaching a maximum daily flux of (1.0 ± 0.2) (ATel #6709).
  • 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216) was detected all week with daily averaged fluxes between (1.1 ± 0.3) and (5.9 ± 0.5).
  • PKS 1824-582 was detected all week with daily averaged fluxes between (1.0 ± 0.3) and (2.0 ± 0.3).
  • 3C 454.3 was detected between November 11 and November 15 with daily averaged fluxes between (1.3 ± 0.6) and (2.3 ± 0.7).
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1): 3C 279, S4 1144+40, PKS 1424-41, NGC 1275, S5 0716+714, PKS 0454-234, PKS 0454-234, Mkn 421, NVSS J020344+304238, B2 1520+31, PKS 0426-380, PKS 1830-211, PKS 2142-75, PKS 0451-28, Mrk 501.

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 337

LAT Mission week: 337.57 - 338.57

  • PKS 0736+01 detected in flaring activity on November 18, 20, 22, 23, with a daily flux between (0.5+/-0.2)e-6 and (1.1+/-0.3)e-6 (ATel #6731). The high activity of the source was confirmed by Swift observations in optical, UV and X-rays (ATel #6742).
  • NGC 1275 (3C 84) detected all week, with a daily flux between (0.7+/-0.1)e-6 and (1.0+/-0.3)e-6.
  • 3C 454.3 detected all week with a daily flux between (1.2+/-0.4)e-6 and (2.4+/-0.6)e-6.
  • PKS 1424-418 detected on November 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, and 23, with a daily flux between (0.2+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.8+/-0.2)e-6.
  • PKS 1824-582 detected on November 17, 18, 19, 20, and 23, with a daily flux between (0.9+/-0.1)e-6 and (2.5+/-0.4)e-6.
  • B2 1520+31 detected on November 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, with a daily flux between (0.4+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.7+/-0.2)e-6.
  • S5 0716+714 detected on November 17, 19, 20, 22, and 23, with a daily flux between (0.3+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.6+/-0.2)e-6.
  • Mrk 421 detected on November 17, 20, 21, 22, and 23, with a daily flux between (0.2+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.5+/-0.2)e-6.
  • 4C +21.35 (PKS 1222+21) detected on November 17, 20, 21, and 22, with a daily flux between (1.3+/-0.3)e-6 and (2.9+/-0.5)e-6.
  • 3C 279 detected on November 19, 21, 22, and 23 with a daily flux between (0.8+/-0.3)e-6 and (2.2+/-0.4)e-6.
  • PKS 1510-089 detected on November 18, 21, 22, and 23 with a daily flux between (0.5+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.9+/-0.2)e-6.
  • PKS 0454-234 detected on November 17, 18, 20, and 22, with a daily flux between (0.3+/-0.1)e-6 and (0.7+/-0.2)e-6.
  • S4 0954+65 detected on November 17, 18, and 19, with a daily flux between (0.6+/-0.2)e-6 and (0.9+/-0.2)e-6.
  • Sporadic activity (fluxes below 1e-6): B2 1144+40 (November 17 and 21), PKS 2326-502 (November 17), PKS 0426-380 (November 17), 4C +01.02 (November 19), CTA 102 (November 19), B2 0200+30 (November 20), B2 0716+33 (November 20).

Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 335

LAT Mission week: 335.57 - 336.57

  • PKS 1824-582, was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (1.2 +/- 0.2) and (3.5 +/- 0.4). This flare triggered a GCN Notice, see GCN/Fermi Notice #1415375482.
  • PKS 1510-08 was detected Nov. 3 through Nov. 6 with a daily averaged flux between (0.6 +/- 0.2) and (4.1 +/- 0.3).
  • 3C 454.3 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (1.4 +/- 0.4) and (5.0 +/- 0.7).
  • 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216) was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (1.4 +/- 0.3) and (2.8 +/- 0.4).
  • CTA 102 was detected on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 with daily averaged fluxes of (1.1 +/- 0.5) and (2.4 +/- 0.6), respectively.
  • PKS 2142-75 was detected Nov. 3,7 and 9 with a daily averaged flux between (0.4 +/- 0.2) and (1.1 +/- 0.3).
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1):PMN J1903–6749, NGC 1275, PKS 0336–01, S4 1144+40, GB6 J1542+6129, B2 1520+31, PKS 0451–28, PKS 0736+01.

  • A new gamma-ray source, Fermi J0507-5641, was detected on Oct. 31 with a daily averaged flux of (0.4 +/- 0.1). See ATel #6655
  • 3C 454.3 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (1.7 +/- 0.6) and (4.5 +/- 0.7).
  • PKS 1510-08 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (0.6 +/- 0.2) and (1.9 +/- 0.2).
  • NGC 1275 was detected on Oct. 28, 29, and 30 with a daily averaged flux between (0.7 +/- 0.2) and (1.0 +/- 0.2).
  • 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216) was detected on Oct. 29, 30, 31, and Nov. 2 with a daily averaged flux between (0.9 +/- 0.3) and (1.3 +/- 0.4).
  • PKS 1424-582 was detected on Oct. 31 and Nov 2 with daily averaged fluxes of (0.5 +/- 0.2) and (1.6 +/- 0.3), respectively.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1):Mkn 421, MG2 J043337+2905, PKS 1424-418, NVSS J141922-083830, PKS 0308-611, PKS 0451-28, PKS 2052-47, 4C +71.07 (S5 0836+71).

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

  • CTA 102 detected  in high state in all week, reaching a maximum on 24-25  October with a daily flux of 2.6E-6 (ATel #6631)
  • PKS 1510-08 detected in quite active state all week with a daily flux level above 1E-6, reaching the maximum on October 21 with a daily flux of 2.3E-6.
  • MRK 421 detected several time during the week with a flux about 0.5e-6.
  • Further bright blazars detected during the week with a daily flux above 1E-6:  3C454.3,  PKS 1824-582 and PMN J2141-6411
  • Sporadic other detections (with daily flux lower than 1E-6):  S5 0716+714,  B2 1520+31,   4C +71.07 (S5 0836+71),  S4 1144+40,  PKS 1424-41, 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216) and 3C 279
