Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 324



Covered period: 2014.Aug.18 - 2014.Aug.24
LAT Mission week: 324.57 - 325.57

  • On Aug. 18 and 19 the Crab Nebula was observed in flaring state showing an average daily flux of (7.5±0.6) and (5.4±0.7), respectively (ATel #6401).
  • 3C 454.3 was detected all week long with daily averaged fluxes between (5.2 ± 1.4) and (2.1 ± 0.6).
  • PKS 0502+049 was detected in flaring state on Aug. 22 and 23, reaching average daily fluxes of (0.9 ± 0.2) and (0.7 ± 0.2), respectively. It corresponds to approx. 20-30 times the flux reported for this source in the 2FGL catalog.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (daily averaged fluxes below 1 unit): PKS 1510–08, B2 1520+31, S5 0716+71, AO 0235+164, 4C +55.17 (OK 591, S4 0954+55).

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 323

LAT Mission week: 323.57 - 324.57

  • New LAT source positionally consistent with the unknown redshift FSRQ TXS 1731+152A (aka CRATES J1733+1513). The source was detected on Aug. 13 with a daily averaged flux of (0.7 ±  0.1). See ATel #6395.
  • 3C 454.3 was detected all week long with daily averaged fluxes between (5.6 ± 1.0) and (2.6 ± 0.7).
  • 3C 279 was detected on Aug. 12 and 14 with a daily averaged averaged flux of (0.9 ± 0.3) and (1.7 ± 0.3) respectively.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (daily averaged fluxes below 1 unit): PKS 1510–08, 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216), PKS B1424–418, PKS 2326–502, PKS 0402–3621ES 1215+303, 4C +38.41 (B2 1633+38).
Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT Weekly Report N. 322

LAT Mission week: 322.57 - 323.57

  • PKS 0402-362 was detected on August 4, 5, and 6 with a daily averaged flux of (1.4 +/- 0.2), (0.8 +/- 0.2), and (0.4 +/- 0.2), respectively. Following this rare flare, Swift TOO observations were made. See ATel#6391.
  • PKS 1510-08 was detected from August 5 to 10 with a daily averaged flux between (1.0 +/- 0.2) and (1.4 +/- 0.2).
  • 3C 454.3 was detected from August 4 through 9 with a daily averaged flux between (5.8 +/- 1.0) and (2.9 +/- 0.8).
  • 3C 279 was detected on August 4 and 5 with a daily averaged flux of (1.6 +/- 0.5) and (0.8 +/- 0.3) respectively.
  • S5 0716+71 was detected on August 9 and 10 with a daily averaged flux of (0.2 +/- 0.1) and (1.1 +/- 0.3) respectively.
  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars (fluxes below 1X10-6): PKS 1424-41, NGC 1275, Mrk 501, PG 1553+113, PKS 0426-380.

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

  • The gravitational lensed blazar PKS 1830-211 was in a high state between July 28 and July 29 with daily fluxes between (0.7 ± 0.1) and (1.1 ± 0.1). See ATel#6361.
  • 3C 279 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (0.9 ± 0.1) and (4.8 ± 0.7).
  • 3C 454.3 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (2.9 ± 0.9) and (7.0 ± 1.0).
  • PKS 1510-08 was detected all week with a daily averaged flux between (0.6 ± 0.2) and (1.3 ± 0.2).
  • PKS 0402-362 was detected on Aug 2 and Aug 3 with daily averaged fluxes between (0.5 ± 0.1) and (1.5 ± 0.2).
  • Sporadic daily detections of other blazars (fluxes below 1): PKS 1424-41, Mkn 421, S5 0716+71, PKS 0502+049, PKS 1622-29, 4C +01.02 (PKS 0106+01) and the NLSy1 PMN J0948+0022.
