Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 320


    Covered period: 2014 July 21 - July 27
    LAT Mission week: 320.57 - 321.57



    • Lens B0218+35 (S3 0218+35) was detected on July 23 and 26 with daily flux of 0.6 and 0.1, respectively. On July 26 the source was detected with a hard spectral index of 1.7. 
    • 3C 454.3 detected all week long with daily flux between 2.1 and 5.6.
    • 3C 279 observed on July 21, 22, 25, 26 and 27 with daily flux from 0.9 to 3.1.
    • PKS 1510–08 detected on July 21, 22, 23, 26 and 27 with daily flux between 0.9 and 1.3.                 
    • Sporadic activity (daily fluxes below 1.0) observed from PKS 1424-41PKS 0426-380S5 1803+784C +55.17 (OK 591, S4 0954+55)Mkn 421PKS 0502+049S4 1144+401RXS J053629.4–334302.
      Fluxes are in the unit of 10^-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

    Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 319



      Covered period: 2014 July 14 - July 20
      LAT Mission week: 319.57 - 320.57


      • Lens B0218+35 (S3 0218+35) still detected in flaring state on July 14 at a daily flux of (0.6 ± 0.1) and hard photon index of 1.6 ± 0.1 (see ATel #6316). The gamma-ray outburst lasted approximately for two days, i.e. from July 13 to July 14. According to previous gamma-ray flaring activity the gravitationally lensed delayed emission is expected 11.46 +/- 0.16 days later.
      • PKS 1622-29  (z=0.815) observed in flaring state on July 18 at a flux of 1.2 +/- 0.2 (see ATel #6327).
      • 3C 454.3 detected all week long with daily flux between 0.9 and 5.
      • 3C 279 observed during the last three days of the week. The highest daily flux (1.6 ± 0.4) was detected on July 19.
      • PKS 0458-02 observed during the last three days of the week at an average daily flux of 0.5.
      • PKS 1510–08 detected all week long with daily flux between 0.5 and 1.3.
      • Sporadic activity (daily fluxes below 1.0) observed from PKS 1441+25, TXS 0937–282, Mrk 421, Mrk 501, PKS 0402–362, PKS 1424-41, B2 1520+31, S5 0716+714,  PKS 1222+216, NGC 1275, PKS 2023–07.

      • Fluxes are in the unit of 10^-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

      Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 318


      Covered period: 2014 July 7 - July 13
      LAT Mission week: 318.57 - 319.57

      • Lens B0218+35 (S3 0218+357) detected in flaring state on July 13 at a daily flux of (0.6 ± 0.1). The gamma-ray lensed blazar displayed a peculiar hard spectrum with photon index of 1.3 ± 0.1 (see ATel#6316).  
      • New LAT source, Fermi J1433-1806, detected on July 10 at a daily flux of 0.62 ± 0.06 and a photon index of 2.1 ± 0.1 (see ATel#6310). The closest candidate counterpart is PKS 1430-178 (z=2.331).
      • 3C 454.3 detected all week long with flux between 2 and 5.
      • PKS 1730-130 reached a daily flux of (1.2 ± 0.2) on July 10.
      • 4C +21.35 (PKS 1222+216) observed in three days of the week with daily average flux of 0.6.
      • NGC 1275 (Per A) detected in three days of the week reaching a daily flux of (0.9 ± 0.2) on July 10.
      • Sporadic activity (daily fluxes below 1.0) observed from PKS 1510–08, Mrk 421, PKS 2155-304, PKS 2326–502, PKS 0426-380, S5 0716+714, Mrk 501.

      • Fluxes are in the unit of 10^-6 photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

      Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 317


      Covered period: 2014 June 30 - July 6
      LAT Mission week: 317.57 - 318.57

      • TXS 0943+105 (GB6 J0946+1016, MG1 J094636+1017, z=1.0045 +/- 0.0005) was discovered in outburst during the week, peaking on July 2 with daily flux level of  (0.8 +/- 0.3)E-6  (25 times the 2FGL catalog flux). This is the first high activity state reported from this source since the beginning of the Fermi mission (see ATel#6292).
      • 3C 454.3 detected all the week with a daily flux level ranging between about 2.2E-6 and 4.7E-6.
      • PKS 1510-08 detected in declining phase during the week, from a daily flux level of 1.7E-6 to 0.5E-6.
      • AO 0235+164 is back being detected in three days of the week with daily flux about 0.4E-6.
      • Further bright blazars detected in some days of the week with daily flux in the range of about 0.7E-6 to 1.0E-6:  NGC 1275 (Per A), PKS 1424-41, PKS 1730-13, PKS 2326-502.
      • Other blazars detected in some days of the week (with daily flux lower than about 0.5E-6): Mkn 421, Mkn 501, PKS 0426-380, PKS 0308-611, 4C +21.35 (PG 1222+216), 4C +01.02 (PKS 0106+01), PKS 1144-379, OJ 14 (PKS 0808+019), 1ES 1959+650, S3 0218+35 (gravitational lens B0218+357).
      • GRB detected by the GBM during the week: GRB 140703A (GCN-Circ.#16512) and GRB 140706A (GCN-Circ.#16537).

        
      Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm^2/s above 100 MeV. All uncertainties are statistical only.

      • 3C 454.3 is active during whole week reaching a daily flux of 12.3 X 10-6 on Monday 23rd.
      • PKS 1510–089 detected in the first part of this week (daily flux above 1 X 10-6). 
      • Ton 599 , S5 0716+71, PKS 0447–439, PKS 2326–502, NGC 1275, PKS 1424–41, Mkn 421, S5 0716+71, S2 0109+22, 4C +21.35 all detected in one or two days of the week (flux below 1 X 10-6 ).
      Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.
