Fermi LAT Weekly report N. 280

Covered period: 2013 October 14-20
LAT Mission week: 280.57 - 281.57

  • The TeV blazar VER J0521+211 has been significantly detected since the beginning of the week on daily timescales and it exhibited an active state reaching the highest daily flux of 1.0 +/- 0.3 on 2013 October 14 (ATel #5472).
  • B2 2308+34 in active state. On 2013 October 15 and 16 it reached the daily flux of 1.0+/- 0.2 (ATel #5477). This was the first Fermi LAT detection of the object on daily timescales since mid-2011.
  • On 2013 October 17 the Crab Nebula has been observed in flaring state showing a daily flux of 9.7+/-0.7 (ATel #5485). Consequently, Fermi interrupted all-sky scanning mode to maximize the exposure toward the Crab Nebula. The pointing mode lasted until 2013 October 21.

Fluxes are in the unit of 10-6 photons/cm^2/s above 100 MeV. All uncertainties are statistical only.

Note. All the flux reported above are by the ASP analysis and should be considered preliminary and should not be used for publication, however they are indicative of the flux range and the current status of a source.
