Fermi LAT weekly report N.189



Covered period: 2012.Jan.16 - 2012.Jan.22

LAT Mission week: 189.57 - 190.57





  • On Jan. 22 a new gamma ray source was detected with a daily flux about 0.5 X 10-6 near the FSRQ PKS 0646-306 . (ATel #3878). A Swift TOO confirmed an increase of the X-ray flux with respect to historical observation, confirming the identification with the blazar. (ATel #3894)


  • PKS 1510-08 was detected most of the week with daily flux in the range 1.0-2.1 X 10-6.

  • B2 1520+31 was detected most of the week with daily flux in the range 0.6-0.9 X 10-6.

  • 4C +28.07 was detected early in the week with daily flux in the range 0.6-0.7 X 10-6.

  • Sporadic activity (fluxes below 1.0 X 10-6) observed from B2 2155+31, Mrk 421, PKS 1424-41,PKS 0402-362,3C 279,PKS 0537-441, 4C +38.41, PMN J2250-2806, S4 1749+70, Mrk 501, S5 0716+714, PKS 0521–36, Mrk 421, 1ES 2344+514 .



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT weekly report N.188



Covered period: 2012.Jan.09 - 2012.Jan.15

LAT Mission week: 188.57 - 189.57





  • After being observed last week, TXS 0059+58 was detected for a couple of days in the middle of this week, reaching 1.0 X 10-6 on Jan. 11 (ATel #3864 and GCN Event #1326489854).

  • 4C +28.07 and PKS 0402-362 were detected through the week with daily flux in the range 0.5-0.8 X 10-6 and 0.5-0.6 X 10-6, respectively.

  • S5 0716+71 was detected in the half of the week with flux decreasing from 0.9 to 0.2 X 10-6.

  • PKS 1424-41 was detected with flux increasing from 0.4 X 10-6 early in the week and in the range 0.7-0.9 X 10-6 in the last days

  • PKS 1510-08 was detected all week with daily flux in the range 0.6-1.7 X 10-6.

  • PMN J2345-1555 was detected through the week with daily flux decreasing from 0.9 to 0.4 X 10-6.

  • Sporadic activity (fluxes below 1.0 X 10-6) observed from 3C 380 (0.1 on Jan. 10), PKS 0700-465 (0.3 on Jan. 12), PKS 0521-36 (0.5 on Jan. 14), B2 1520+31 (0.7 on Jan. 15), and 3C 279 (0.3 on Jan. 15).



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT weekly report N. 187



Covered period: 2011.Jan.02 - 2011.Jan.08

LAT Mission week: 187.57 - 188.57





  • PKS 1424-41 detected all week with daily fluxes below 1 X 10-6.

  • B2 1520+31 continues to be detected with daily fluxes below 1 X 10-6.

  • PMN J2345-1555 detected most of the week reaching a daily fluxes above 1 X 10-6 on 8th of January.

  • ASP J174500-291500 (Galactic Center source) active all the week reaching a flux of 2.8 X 10-6 on 5th of January.

  • 4C +28.07, PKS 0402-362, Mrk 421, S5 0716+71, PKS 2326-502, Mrk 501 and 3C 279 detected in some days of the week (flux below 1 X 10-6 ).



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT weekly report N. 186

LAT Mission week: 186.57 - 187.57





  • Blazar 4C +71.07 (z=2.172) was the only extragalactic source above 1 X 10-6 this week see See ATel#3831.

  • Blazar PKS 1424-41 bright on December 28 and January 1 with flux approaching 1 X 10-6).

  • PMN J2345-1555, S5 1803+78, 4C +21.35 , S5 0716+71, 3C 66A, PKS 2326-502, BL Lac, B3 1343+451, 4C +28.07, PKS 0402-362 detected in one or two days of the week (flux below 1 X 10-6 ).
