Fermi LAT weekly report N. 137



Covered period: 2011.January.17 - 2011.January.23

LAT Mission week: 137.57 - 138.57





  • The BL Lac object CGRaBS J0211+1051 (also known as MG1 J021114+1051) detected in flaring state on Jan. 23, with a daily flux of (1.0+/-0.3)e-6 (ATel #3120). The source was also detected on Jan. 20 and 21, with daily flux between 0.3e-6 and 0.6e-6.


  • 4C +38.41 detected on Jan. 19, 21, and 23, with daily flux between 0.4e-6 and 1.3e-6.


  • PKS 2326-502 detected in flaring state on Jan. 20, with daily flux of (1.4+/-0.4)e-6.


  • B2 2308+34 detected in high state, with a daily flux of (1.0+/-0.3)e-6.


  • 3C 454.3 bright all the week, with daily flux between 5.0e-6 and 7.9e-6.


  • PKS 0537-441 detected for all the week, with daily flux between 0.3e-6 and 0.5e-6.


  • B2 1520+31 detected on Jan. 18, 19, 21, 22, and 23, with daily flux between 0.4e-6 and 0.8e-6.


  • Sporadic daily detections of blazars: B2 0200+30 (Jan. 17), 4C +21.35 (Jan. 17), PKS 0447-439 (Jan. 18), B3 1708+433 (Jan. 19 and 21), PKS 0426-380 (Jan. 20), PKS 2155-304 (Jan. 20), NGC 1275 (Jan. 21), Mrk 421 (Jan. 23), and PKS 0727-11 (Jan. 23).




Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT weekly report 136



Covered period: 2011.Jan.10 - 2011.Jan.16

LAT Mission week: 136.57 - 137.57





  • 3C454 detected every day during the week with an average daily flux 6.8 +/- 0.7 X 10-6 and a high daily flux of 7.5 +/- 0.7 X 10-6.

  • 4C +38.41, 3C273 and PKS B1222+216 were detected on January 10th with fluxes of 1.1 +/- 0.3 X 10-6, 1.2 +/- 0.4 X 10-6 and 1.5 +/- 0.2 X 10-6 respectivly. All three of these sources were quiet the rest of the week.

  • PKS 2326-502 bright on January 13th with a flux of 1.5 X 10-6. Detected on January 14th and 15th as well with fluxes below 1.0 X 10-6.

  • PKS 0537-441 detected on 6 days this week with and average flux of around 0.5 X 10-6

  • NGC 1275,B3 1708+433,1633+382 and Mrk 421, are all detected on multiple days during the week with fluxes below 1.0 X 10-6.

  • The FA scripts report strange results for daily run number 935 (January 15, 2011) the results for this FA report are quoted from the DRP



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

Fermi LAT weekly report 134



Covered period: 2010.Dec.27 - 2011.Jan.2

LAT Mission week: 134.57 - 135.57





  • 3C454.3 was very bright all week, detected every day with an average daily flux of 9.2-6 with a high daily flux of (11.7+/-1.1)-6 on the 2nd January.


  • Increased activity from the FSRQ PKS 1830-211 was seen during the week with an average daily flux of 2.6-6. The source reached a peak daily flux of (3.9 +/- 0.5)-6 on the 30th December.


  • B2 0200+30 was detected on the first three days of the week with an average daily flux of 0.7-6.


  • PKS 2326-502 and PKS 0537-441 were detected throughout the week with average daily fluxes of 0.7-6 and 0.5-6 respectively.


  • 4C+21.35 was detected most days this week with an average daily flux of 1.3-6.


  • 3C279 was seen with an average daily flux of 0.5-6 on 4 days this week.


  • PKS 2155-304 was also detected on 4 days this week with an average daily flux of 0.6-6.


  • Sporadic activity from 1510-089, PKS 0601-70, PKS 0402-362, PKS 0426-380, PKS 0524-485, S4 1030+61, 1633+382, B2 1520+31, B2 2308+34, 4C+38.21 and Mrk 421.



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm2/s above 100 MeV. All errors are statistical only.

  • 1510-089 detected with daily flux around 0.5 X 10-6.

  • PKS 0537-441 detected with daily flux in the range 0.3-0.9 X 10-6.

  • PKS 1622-253 detected with daily flux in the range 0.6-1.4 X 10-6.

  • PKS 2326-502 detected with daily flux in the range 0.4-1.4 X 10-6.

  • 4C 21.35 was relatively bright all week, with daily flux around 1.0 X 10-6.

  • 3C 454.3 was very bright all week, with daily flux above 9.5 and up to 18.6 X 10-6.

  • Sporadic activity observed from 3C 279, OX 169, Mrk 421, 4C +38.41, B2 1520+31, B2 2308+34, B3 1708+433, CGRaBS J0509+0541, PKS 1124-186, PKS 1730-13, and PKS 0332-403. All fluxes below (or up to) 1.0 X 10-6.

Fermi LAT weekly report N. 133



Covered period: 2010 Dec.20-26 

LAT Mission week: 133.57 - 134.57





  • 3C 454.3 very bright, reaching a daily flux of about (23+/-1)E-6 on Dec.20. This blazar decreased slowly during the rest of the week. 

  • PKS 2155-304, PKS 0537-441, PKS 0208-512, 3C 66A, PKS 2326-502, 3C 279, S4 1030+61, B2 2308+34, Mkn 421,  Ton 599  are detected in some days of the week below the daily flux level of 1E-6.

  • PKS 1830-211 and 4C 21.35 fluctuating around 1E-6.

  • Possible detection of B2 0200+30 



Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm^2/s above 100 MeV.

LAT Mission week: 132.57 - 133.57




  • 3C 454.3 was extremely bright during the week. It has crossed the daily flux level of 20E-6 at the end of the week. 

  • 4C 21.35 and B2 2308+34 were above the daily flux level of 1E-6 during some days of the week.

  • Other daily detection of blazars below 1E-6 (PKS 0537-441, B2 1520+31, Ton 599, Mkn 421, PKS 2155-304, PKS 2326-502, PKS 0208-512, B2 1846+32A)


Fluxes are in the unit of photons/cm^2/s above 100 MeV.
